happy friday to all!

I woke up to a smiling baby boy this morning.  He's sleeping in his own bed (finally) and that keeps both of us happy.  My Friday started out just swell and I know it's going to be a great weekend - despite the predicted rain today.  I'm looking forward to spending time with my boys.  Even more exciting - his grandma Worley gets in town this weekend and Uncle Hoover and Aunt Nicole arrive on Tuesday!

What a little man.

Parker no longer needs to sit in his carseat when riding in the stroller.  He's sort of a big deal now.  I snapped this shot our the way down the drive way for one of our morning walks.  It really amazes me how big he is - when I glance at this photo, its like looking at a toddler!

yum. bananas.

Parker is now 19 weeks old.  I have no idea where the time has gone.  He just keeps growing and changing.  Every day is a new adventure.  Kevin and I have been talking about introducing real food to Parker.  We just didn't know when the timing would be right.  He sits and watches us eat dinner every night and seems interested in food, so over the weekend we gave it a shot.  We introduced him to rice cereal, his initiak reaction was funny to say the least.  If he could talk, we would have said YUCK

My feet are great.

Parker just loves his feet.  Really loves them, he spends hours just holding on to them.  When he's falling asleep, he has his feet in his hands.  When he's up and playing, its the same story, feet all the time.  This probably explains why he loves to spend most of his time on his back.  He can't see his feet while he's on his tummy.

The last time his Grammy Lewis came to visit, she bought him this set of nifty socks.  I think he was too young to enjoy them at the time.  I pulled them out this morning and he was enthralled.  Feet with noise-making socks on them are even better than naked feet.

It takes him at least 20 minutes to get his rattle socks off.  Once he gets them off, he gets fussy and it takes me another five minutes to get them back on...definitely a win-win.
