Opportunity Knocked.

Life has been a real whirlwind over the last few weeks. We have been traveling every other weekend, first KC and then Cali and this weekend, Memphis. I am ready to be stationary for a while or at least floating in a pool, trying to escape this heat.

Kevin got a job offer in California, just as we decided we need to really start financially preparing ourselves for Baby Wo to arrive. Needless to say, we had a tough decision to make. Over Taco Bell and McDonald's we both decided that it's best to stay in NOLa for now. It wasn't the easiest decision to make, but we just had to turn it down. We have been waiting for the chance to move westward since we sold our house last October. Opportunity definitely came knocking and we just didn't answer the door. I still can't believe that we decided to stay here - with the rest of the hot summer and Hurricane season upon us.

I know we made the best decision, I'm glad we decided to stay, now on to more important things. Next up: buying a car or baby room colors?

my new friend, my belly.

I knew the belly would arrive, eventually. Its here and seems to be expanding daily. I am in that in between stage where I could be pregnant or I could just have a tremendous beer belly. I would like to say that if I was rocking a beer belly like this one, I would have at least liked to enjoy the beer (and cheese fries) that got me to this point.

I know its for a good cause in the end, but I really miss my jeans and not having fat days, every single day.

I wish I could be one of those women that just loves being pregnant. How great, right? I am at 13 weeks now, just starting the second trimester - better known as the honeymoon trimester. I hope the stories I hear are right and I will just love the next few months.
